+++ Hey guys! It’s Angela from Arch Enemy here. Over the past few weeks I’ve been checking in with updates from our U.S. Tyranny and Bloodshred tour, which started on May 9 in Philadelphia and ended on May 30 at West Hollywood’s House of Blues. With supporting acts Dark Tranquility, Divine Heresy and Firewind, it was a crazy, good time. Below is my final wrap up of that tour! But don’t fear, if you’re lucky I just may post a final final round-up report of our European festival shows. +++

We are all back from the US “Tyranny And Bloodshred’ tour and ripping through the European festival season now! Michael is working double shifts with Arch Enemy and Carcass – speaking of which: Carcass are fucking great and getting a killer response!

The USA / Canada tour was absolutely amazing (most shows sold out) and for the first time I wished it wouldn’t have been over so fast! Firewind, Divine Heresy and Dark Tranquillity were such nice people and put on a kick ass performance every night as well. Fantastic tour package! A big thank you to all of you for the smooth ride, for the passion and for the great music!

Here’s some live shots of Micheal from Edmonton:

Those weeks flew by like nothing – and we know we have been missing out on lots of places all over the country, especially more down south! We will be coming back for another US run when Carcass take a break from dissecting the metal world (and before everybody starts shouting and screaming: I am damn positive Carcass will make it to American shores as well – check www.mypace.com/carcass for tourdates!).

Here are some impressions onstage, off stage and on the road – I love those beautiful mountains around Vancouver and in between Seattle and San Francisco!

It was great meeting our friends from Nevermore in Seattle, Exodus in San Francisco, Kerry and Aisha King, ‘Full Metal Jackie’, Metal Sanaz, and a whole lot of other people at the LA show! We had another fan meet’n’greet in LA as well:

That day was quite chaotic due to a packed promo schedule and being one important man short: We had no tour manager for the last 3 shows. Quite funny that the House of Blues in LA employs only ONE security guard for two doors – so when the good man was watching the front door a bunch of fans simply walked backstage through the venue back door and were very excited to see us in full action (changing clothes for the show). I am quite happy no gun-swinging maniac was at that show – he would have easily been able to shoot about everybody backstage. So much about security measures ‘being upped’ at concerts.

We did a bunch of interviews as well. Check out Vlaze.com:

and Metal Sanaz and Jasmin St. Claire should be coming up soon!

Thanx to everybody who came out to the show and made this tour such an amazing experience – and thanx for stopping by and reading all this crap ;-)

Have a great summer and hopefully we get to rock out with all of you soon (again)!
Cheers,
Angela

Hey there. First of all, I want to start by saying that you guys kick serious ass! I was at the Toronto show on May 16th and it was by far the best metal show I’ve ever experienced (and I was backstage for Gigantour two weeks prior :) ) so you can tell how much I think you guys rock lol. I can’t wait for you guys to come back to Toronto and hopefully you could offer some sort of VIP package or something. Meeting Arch Enemy would be a dream come true for me! Anyways, keep up the awesome work and devil horns up for another great tour!!!!
